Cherry Cheesecake, originally uploaded by Lakenvelder.

I took a cup of chocolate graham crackers crumbs and added 1 teaspoon of the Promise spread. I pressed this on the bottom of a 8 ” square baking dish.

Mix together 1 6 oz package of fat free cream cheese, 1/4 cups sugar, 1 6-8 oz container of fat free vanilla yogurt, 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix together until well blended. Spoon over top of crumbs and let set. Add a can of slow sugar or sugar free cherry pie filling on top. Serve. It wAS actually better the next day.

Roast Chicken and Barley Pilaf

This is an version of a recipe I found in the February 2008 Family Cirle. I adjusted the recipe a little.

Roast chicken

1 whole chicken
1/4 teaspoon slat
Black pepper mix
garlic

Heat oven to 450 f.

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, Place some garlic pieces on top. Place chicken in pan with 1 can chicken broth on bottom of pan. Roast for 50 to 60 minutes. You can tent with foil halfway through cooking. check the water level and add more as necessary.

Barley Pilaf:

I put 1 cup instant barley with 2 cups of chicken broth in a rice cooker. I added one diced carrot, salt, pepper and a 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.

Simmer to the amount of time on the package if done in a sauce pan. It will take about 10 minutes.

2 drops peppermint
2 drops lavender

Inhalant: add blend to simmer pot. Be careful to watch level.

Massage oil: add blend to 1/2 ounce base oil and massage into chest.

Bath: add oil directly to tub full of warm water.

Remember that you should always see a doctor for a proper medical diagnosis before pursuing any course of treatment.

Aromatherapy

I have been using essential oils for quite a while but never heard of it used in a treatment center. I think it is really great.

Anti-Depressant Massage

3 drops bergamot
3 drops rosewood
3 drops lavender
2 drops rose otto

Add oil to 1/2 base oil and massage over the entire body,
